¶SNOOVE, v. Appar. = to become maudlin or sloppily sentimental. Poss, due to a misunderstanding of Snuve, v., 3.Abd. 1940 C. Gavin Hostile Shore i.:
"O michty," said his sister, pushing back her chair in irritation, "dinna begin and snoove about graves and auld hames as if ye was recitin' poetry."
