SPEEDY, adj. As in Eng. Sc. combs.: 1. speedy fit, a young child that can run alone without support (Dmf. 1904; sm.Sc. 1971); 2. speedy spell, a quick worker, one who does a lot of work in a short time (Bnff. 1971). See Speel, n.1, 4.
