SPLENNER, v. To stride (Gall. 1825 Jam.), to stand with the feet apart (Kcb. 1971). Phr. splenner't oot, splayed out, spread apart.Kcb. 1901 R. Trotter Gall. Gossip 167:
The legs wus splenner't oot at the feet.

[Apparently a nasalised variant, perhaps influenced by Splinder, of n. Eng. splather, splauder, to sprawl, stretch outwards, esp. of the feet, possibly ultimately connected with split.]
