STEEDGE, v., n. [stidʒ]

I. v. To walk with a slow, lumbering step (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 181). Ppl.adj. steedgin.

II. n. A heavy-footed rocking manner of walking (Id.); “a big person of slow quiet disposition” (Id.).
