STRINK, v. To be sparing or niggardly with, to cut down on. Phr. to strink it, to pine away, go into a decline.Sh. 1899 Shetland News (10 June, 30 Dec.):
A'm strinkin' a makkin' o' tae. . . . Shü [a cow] düsna luik as if shü wis gaein' ta strink hit noo.
