TABULATE, v. Sc. Law: †to enter a summons on the roll of a court to be called. See Table, v., 2.Sc. 1752 Bankton Institute iv. xxiii. § 27:
Summons, on two diets of compearance, are marked by the collector of the clerk's dues, as Tabulated, before they are called by the clerk. This is a vestige of the old rule, at the institution of the college of justice, by which such summonses were to be insert in a table, and called in course. Now, after the introduction of the books of enrollment, by the regulations 1672, it seems to be an insignificant ceremony, kept up only for the sake of the dues.
