TANNER, n. Also tenner (Peb., Rxb. a.1838 Jam. MSS. XI. 185). Gen. in pl., the fibres, small or fibrous roots of a tree or plant (Lth. 1808 Jam.; Peb., Rxb. a.1838 Jam. MSS. XI. 185; Bwk. 1948).
