TARA GOTT, interj. An obs. phr. used only in witch-tales, signifying satisfaction with what has been done: "that's over, well done" (Ork. 1929 Marw.). [tɑrəg′ɔt]
[Marw., following Jakobsen, supposes the phr. to be from O.N. þat er gort, but phonologically Norw. det er gott, O.N. þat er gott, "that is good," is nearer.]You may wish to vary the format shown below depending on the citation style used.
