THICKENIN(G), vbl.n. Also thicknen. An agent which curdles milk, rennet (wm.Sc. 1972). Comb. thickening-grass, butterwort, Pinguicula vulgaris, from its curdling properties (Ayr. 1886 B. and H. 229).Arg. 1930:
