†THRIM-THRAM, n. ne.Sc. variant of Eng. trim-tram, now obs. or dial., a trinket, trifle, gew-gaw (Abd. a.1838 Jam. MSS. X. 321). Phr. making a thrim-thram for a goose-bridle, used in an evasive answer to the question what one is doing (Kcd. 1887 Jam.).
