I. v. 1. tr. To rock, push from side to side; to toss about (Lnk. 1825 Jam.).Dmf. 1810 R. H. Cromek Remains 61:

2. intr. To move with short quick steps, to trot (Rxb. 1825 Jam., a totchin poney).
