¶TRAMINS, n.pl. The sloping sides of the inside wall of a kiln (Ork. 1929 Marw.).
[Marw. takes the word as meaning orig. the ledge on which the beams rest which support the grain over the fire and derives from Norw. dial. tram, a step, a little platform, O.N. þrǫmr, edge, rim, verge.]
