¶TRUMPOSIE, adj.
1. Guileful (Ayr. 1825 Jam.).
2. Cross-tempered, of a perverse, contrary spirit (Rnf. 1825 Jam.).
[The authenticity of the word is doubtful. Poss. it was formed on the basis of Fr. tromper, to deceive, found in O.Sc. as trump, 1375.]
