VERDICK, n., v. Also verdic, virdict. Sc. forms of Eng. verdict (Sc. 1700 Edb. Gazette (1 Aug.); Edb. 1895 J. Tweeddale Moff 103). See P.L.D. § 63.2. Sc. v. usage, tr.: to bring (a case) to a decision, to reach a verdict on. Rare and obs. in Eng.Ayr. 1823 Galt Entail xcii.:
I hae mair sense than to virdict my case wi' any sic pannelling as arbitration.
