VUNG, n., v. [vʌŋ]

I. n. A whizzing or buzzing sound, as of a stone discharged from a sling or of a spinning-top (Abd. 1825 Jam.).

II. v. To whizz, move swiftly, to cause a humming or buzzing sound by this movement (Ib.).Abd. 1790 A. Shirrefs Poems 336:
