I. n. A light creaking sound (Rxb. 1925 Jam.); the noise made by a mouse (Ork. 1943).Slk. 1820 Hogg Winter Ev. Tales II. 42:
Thilk dor gyit ay thilk tother whesk.

II. v. To creak softly (Rxb. 1825 Jam.).
