YOGER, n. Also yogar, gjoger (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928)). Pain and swelling of the wrist, from a sprain or hard manual work (Sh. 1974). [′jogər]Sh. 1899 Shetland News (21 Oct.):
Yoger. Not a rheumatic affection, but the effect of over-strained muscles, and is of short duration, gen. passing away after a spell of rest.
