AGREE, v. (Besides St.Eng. uses:)
1. To agree with, in Sc., sometimes = to agree to, to consent to.Sc. 1800 Monthly Mag. IX. 324:
I do not agree with it would be in English, I do not agree to it.Bnff.2 1931:
Sanners disna agree wi' the vailyation 'at's been pitten on's craftie.
2. Occas., in Mod.Sc., as in Eng. as late as Dryden (see N.E.D.), to agree with a particular food = to suffer no injury from eating it; so of climate, work, etc. See 'Gree.Sc. 1905 A.W. in E.D.D. Suppl.:
I don't agree with fresh herrings.
