BRUCKS, v. "To potter about in a clumsy manner, to move about doing odd jobs in a slovenly manner; 'gaan brucksan aboot' or simply 'brucksan aboot'; 'he was brucksan an' workan, but he had no "slack" o' hid ava''" (Ork. 1929 Marw.).
Hence brucksy, (1) adj., "slovenly in dress or appearance, or in work" (Ork. 1929 Marw.); (2) n., "a clumsy person" (Ork.3 c.1915).
