CAMSTROUDGEOUS, CAM STRUDGEOUS, adj. Wild; obstinate (Fif. 1808 Jam., camstroudgeous). [kɑm′strʌdʒəs]Rxb. 1933 M. Maclean in Kelso Chron. (3 Nov.) 5:
A big splay-fittit hizzie wi' camstrudgeous een an' beak, Through her verra prayers an' graces ye micht smell the brunstane reek.

[Cf. Camstairy, supra. The second half of the word may have been formed after the analogy of words like outraegous, prodigious, etc.]
