CUNTACK, CUNTIE, n. The father-lasher, Acanthocottus bubalis (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 34; Bch. 1946 (per Abd.27)).

[Origin doubtful, but cf. the first element in Sh. konta-plucker, the angler fish, plukker being used also to indicate a fish of the family Cottus.]
