Soc.); and corrupt forms dirty-locherag, dirly-lochrag (Cai. 1911 John o' Groat Jnl. (10 Feb.)), daddy-lochraig (Cai.⁸ 1934), dirdy-wachlag, -wachle; dardy- (Cai.⁴ c.1920).Cai. 1919 John o' Groat Jnl. (31 Oct.):
We never knew it by any other name than “dirdy-wachle” or “dirdy-wachlag.” Lizard came with future knowledge.
