EELAT, n. An eel-like fish, allied to the lamprey; “the Myxine or Glutinous Hag Myxine glutinosa” (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D.Bnff. 43; ne.Sc. 1903 G. Sim Fauna of “Dee” 283; Mry.1 c.1920); also eeliart (Mry. 1852 in Zoologist X. 3488).
