GLASHAN, n. The coal-fish, Gadus virens, in its second or third year (Uls. 1880 Patterson Gl.). Also gleshan (Arg.3 1954), -ing; glaishan, glaisin (Arg. 1936 L. McInnes Dial. S. Kintyre 11), glassin. Cf. Glassock, id.Arg. c.1850 in L. McInnes Dial. S. Kintyre (1936) 30:
