I. n. 1. A large bright fire (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 65, gleesh).Ib.:
That's a gleeshach o' a fire, it wid rost a geese at the door.

2. A large bright flame.Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 65:
The great gleeshachs o' glaims gede gleedin' hyne oot at the lum.

II. v. To burn with a strong, clear flame (Ib., gleesh).
