I. n. The itch (Cai.3 1931; Cai., Mry. 1957). Hence heukie, -y, heuchy, adj., itchy (nn.Sc., mn.Sc.(b) 1880–1957); tingling, smarting (Nai. 1957). Cai. 1961 "Castlegreen" Tatties an, Herreen' 24:
