HITCHIE-KOO, n. See quot. (Abd. c.1900, Bnff. 1957).Abd. 1930:
A game consisting in throwing a ball high against a wall and calling out the name of another player who had to catch it as it rebounded. Meanwhile the rest of the players had run away to a distance. The catcher then had to throw the ball so as to strike another player but, if he thought this too difficult, had the alternative of bouncing the ball on the ground, calling “hitchie-koo!” and of throwing it against the wall as before for another player to catch.
