JURNAL, v. Of blood: to coagulate. Found only as ppl.adj. jurnal'd, coagulated, congealed, esp. of pig's blood kept for making black puddings (Cai.7 c.1900).Rxb. 1825 Jam.:
Blood, when allowed to get into a coagulated mass, from not being stirred while cooling, is said to be jurnal'd.

[Appar. a voiced form of Chirnel, q.v., lit. kernelled, formed into lumps.]
