KEBBIE, n. A stick or staff with a hooked end (Rxb. 1825 Jam.); a rough walking stick. Also kebbie-stick, id. Cf. Kibbling.Sc. 1816 Scott O. Mortality xiv.:
Ane o' them was gaun to strike my mither wi' the side o' his broadsword — So I got up my kebbie at them, and said I wad gi'e them as gude.
