KLAVO, n. Also klowo, klaoo-. “A strap (in later days made of iron) used for clasping together the lower ends of the old wooden ‘hames' or ‘braichans' which were used with the old horse-collar” (Ork. 1929 Marw., Ork. 1960). Comb. klaoo-band, id. (Ork. 1934). [′klɑvo, ′klɔwo, ′klɛwo]
