KNUDGE, n.1, v. [knʌdʒ]
I. n. A forceful squeeze, a kneading or pressing down (Ork. 1929 Marw.; I.Sc. 1960).
II. v. To squeeze, to press down forcibly with the knuckles (Ib.).
