LIMRO, n. A kind of phosphorescence or electrical luminosity (see quot.) (Ork. 1961). [′lɪmro, ′limru]Ork. 1929 Marw.:
In certain kinds of atmosphere, esp. on damp, rainy nights, if one is outside, one's hair and whiskers become luminous, and if they are stroked the luminosity is increased. They are then said to be “hingan wi' limro”.
