I expeckit to see him get round the linders wi' them for his impidence.
Lnl.1 1938:
To tummle heids ower lundins, to turn a somersault.

[The forms are uncertain but may be corrupted or conflated survivals of Lend and Lunyie, the loin, q.v., with phs. some influence from Linder, n.1. O.Sc. appears to have the same word in cowp my lundy, turning a somersault, 1657.]
