LOCAL, v. To assign the due pro portions of an increase in a parish minister's stipend among the several heritors in the parish under the old tiend system, in the Court of Session upon a process of Augmentation, Modification and Locality. See Locality.Sc. 1700 Records Conv. Burghs (B.R.S.) 315:
They would proceed to the localling of the ten pounds, which was to have been paid.
