NYOD, int. A euphemistic alteration of God!, used as an expletive (Fif. c.1850 R. Peattie MS.; Abd. 1929 J. Alexander Mains & Hilly 45; ne.Sc. 1964). Cf. Dod, n.1Abd. 1871 W. Alexander Johnny Gibb xiii.:
