RIMWALE, n. Also rimwal, rimwol (Jak.). A board running round the gunwale of a boat, variously described as the gunwale strake, a board nailed on top of the gunwale, or as the inside wale (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), 1914 Angus Gl.; Sh., Fif. 1968). See also Rummle, n.2
