YALLOCHIE, adj. Also yallowchy (Ags.); yallochtie (Abd.). Yellowish, of a slightly yellow colour (Abd., Ags. 1974). [′jɑ1əx(t)e]Ags. 1888 Barrie Auld Licht Idylls viii.:
I d'na care for her hair either . . . something mair yallowchy wid be an improvement.
Crm. 1933:
I've heard the fairies referred to as of “a yallochie green” colour.
