CURD (FAIR) SATURDAY. A public holiday in May in Kilmarnock in Ayrshire, on which the population formerly resorted to neighbouring farms to eat curds and cream (Ayr. 1860 Ayr Advertiser (17 May) 5, 1871 J. Paterson Reminisc. 144, 1949 Kilmarnock Standard (21 May) 3).
