Commoning, vbl. n. Also: comoning, co(m)monyng, commoneing; commownyng, -ouning; cowmoning. [ME. comon-, comounynge (14th c.), f. Commoun v.]
1. Talking together, converse, intercourse.Very common in the 16th century.1442 Stirlings of Keir 216.
