Convene, Convein, v. Also: konvene, convenne, -wen(n)e; convein(n)e, -weine, -veyn(e, -weyne; convine, -vyne, -viene; conveene, -veane. [OF. convenir, L. convenīre. Also e.m.E. (1528) but rarer than in Sc.]
1. intr. To come together, to meet, gather, or assemble, esp. as a body, or for a common purpose.(a) 1429 Rymer Fædera X. 430/2.
