Falset, Falsat, n. Also: falsett, falcet, faulset; falsatt, -sate, -sait(t; falsitt, fallsit, falseit. [e.m.E. falset (1569), late ME. falssett (1482, but rare in English use), OF. falset, med. L. falsatum.]
