Ingyre, Ingir(e, v. Also: ingyr, iniyre. [Variant, with unexplained change of vowel, of Ingere v. Cf. Engyre v. Common (in sense 1) in the later 16th and early 17th c.]
1. reflex. To push (oneself) in, obtrude (oneself), chiefly intrusively or presumptuously.
