Journall, Jornal(l, n. Also: jowrnell, jurnall, jornale, -ell. [ME. jurnal(le (1355–6), jornenall (1454), a diurnal, the service-book, e.m.E. journall (1540) in various senses, OF. jour-, jur-, jornal, -el a day, a day's work, a day-book, a measure of land.]
