Matalent, Mautalent, n. (a.) Also: mate-, mati-, matulent, -at; mawtelent, mawvetalent. [ME. mautalent (c 1320), OF. mau-, matalent, varr. of maltalent Maltalent n.] Ill-will, grudge; anger, rage; spite, malice.(a) a1400 Leg. S. xxvi. 377.
