Moriehead and feit, Murray head, Morreyhead and (? ) feel, phr. [Origin and precise meaning obscure. Perh. the adj. is e.m.E. moary (1581), moorie (1600), f. More n., ? = dark-coloured, black, like a Moor, and perh. feel in the earlier examples should read feet.] ?
