Pathe-, Paithment, n. Also: path-, patht-, payth-, peth-, pauth-. [Sc. var. of Pavement n.] Pavement.

1. a. A surface paved with stones, tiles, etc. b. The stones, tiles, etc., used for paving, collectively. c. The action of laying pavement, paving.Also attrib. with -stane.(a) c1420 Wynt. v. 3864.
