Pakkar, -er, n.1 Also: pakar, -er, packer. [ME. and e.m.E. packer, pakker an officer charged with the supervision of the packing of exported goods liable to custom (1353), one whose business or trade it is to pack goods for transportation (1692): cf. Pak v. and MDu. packer (Du. pakker).] One who packs goods or merchandise for transportation.One whose trade or (regular) employment is the packing of goods or merchandise, such as a cooper (see also Pakman n.2); also with specification of the merchandise packed.(1) 1398–1400 Aberd.
