Scurg(e)ing, Scourgein(g, vbl. n. Also: skurg(e)ing, -yng, skurgin, skorgeing; schurg(e)-, schuirg-, schourg-, schorging; scrudgeing. [ME and e.m.E. scourgyng (Rolle), f. Scurge v.] The action of beating with a scourge; flogging, whipping.(a) a1450 Fifteen Ois 101.
