Volunté, n. Also: volounté. [ME and e.m.E. volunte (c1330), OF volonté, L. voluntat-.] The will (of a person). b. Of (at) (one's) (awyn) fre volunte, of one's (own) free will, voluntarily, willingly. c. In volunte, ? in custody, in the will of an authority, accused (of a crime or misdemeanor) for which trial or restitution has not yet taken place.1490 Irland Mir. I 64/18.
