Colpindach, -doch, n. Also: colpyndouch, colpnoch(e, coltinnocht; copindach, capindocht, copindo, copyndo, cowpendoch, cowttinocht. Also pl.: cowpindowis. [Obscurely related to Gael. colpach a cow-calf, heifer. See also Coldnach, Coldoch, Copnoche, Coupnocht.] A young cow, a heifer; a young ox.? a 1040 Acts I. 347/2.
